Once Upon A Fan

When I read about the new Disney characters being introduced in Season Two, I immediately started thinking about what actors could play the roles and (especially) which actor will get to play the villainous Jafar. As I sat there and puzzled, the image of The Genie (also our dear friend Sydney Glass) popped into my mind.

So I got to thinking... What if Sydney's fairytale counterpart isn't Aladdin's bright blue "Robin Williams" genie after all? What if the genie who fell so tragically in love with Regina is in fact the Jafar genie from the end of the Aladdin film? The striking facial features and dark complexions of Jafar and Sydney are certainly shared traits, as is their tendency towards wrongdoings.

If this "Once-esque twist" theory proves to hold merit, what will this mean for Regina? We all know Jafar to be a very evil man, so I can't imagine he will take being thrown into a cell very well, much less being deceived and rejected by the woman he loves for a second time. Has Regina created herself yet another enemy?

(And let's not forget that Jafar had himself turned into a giant snake in Aladdin and Sydney's fairytale counterpart murdered King Leopold... with a viper.)
