Just while we're waiting for the second season...

Just read that it is more than likely there will be a sequel to the movie. I've just watched it and thought it was really good. The open ending left for many possibilities, I thought it was very interesting that it was the Huntsman's kiss that woke the Snow White and not William's. Also, when Ravenna died it seemed the Mirror was reaching out to Snow White, maybe the Mirror being the true source of evil?

  1. I don't think it was the Huntman's kiss that woke her, she woke herself. The kiss just happened at about the same time.
  2. I didn't notice the mirror reaching out, but all through the movie it seemed to indicate there was a connexion between Snow White and Ravenna. The both had power and it seemed like Ravenna was winter/death/evil, while Snow White was spring/life/good.
  3. This may seem incredibly sexist, but did there seem to be some sort of sexual tension between Snow White and Ravenna?

I didn't watch the movie. I watched the trailer, and it was enough for me.

I've actually seen it twice...and loved it even more the second time because I had the chance to absorb things more. I loved, loved, *loved* the twist they gave it, where the Huntsman's kiss was the one to wake her (I'd been gunning for that from the moment I first saw the trailer).

I'm a little skeptical about the idea of a sequel -- on the one hand I would love to see more, but on the other hand...sequels that were never meant to be but suddenly are sometimes have a way of falling flat.

I think an interesting idea would be to see how Snow White really comes into her own as queen, navigating what I'm sure is a court of intrigue (there must be some closet remnants from Ravenna's reign) with (of course) the Huntsman at her side.

Yes, I am a fan of the Huntsman. William who? ;)
