Once Upon A Fan

We start in fairytale land where King George is getting ready for the wedding.  Princes Abigail shows up but Prince James is nowhere to be found.  King George's guards are out looking for him.  James has decided he won't marry Abigail and has gone to look for Snow.

David and Kathryn are having dinner.  She informs him that she got into law school at Boston and wants him to go with her to make a fresh start away from Storybrooke.

Guards capture James, but they do not belong to King George.  They take James to Abigail, who had sent out her own search party.  She tells James she knows he loves Snow White.  She explains to him that she doesn't want to marry him either and will help him escape.

David meets Mary Margaret to tell her Kathryn wants to move to Boston.  Mary tells him to tell the truth, or they will never be together. She tells him he has to make a choice.  He says "I choose you.". She then tells him that he has to be honest and tell Kathryn. 

At the diner, the stranger asks Emma if they could have that drink.  She refuses, saying she doesn't go out with people when she doesn't know their name.  He tells her his name is August W. Booth.  She agrees to meet him at the diner after work.  

Emma goes into the diner to meet Mary Margaret.  She tells Emma that she is having an affair with David.  Emma tells her she already knows.  David is at his house.  He tells Kathryn that he can't go to Boston with her.  Instead of telling her about the affair, he tells her that he has been unable to connect with her.

Prince James and Princess Abigail reach King Midas' land.  She tells James she lost her true love, Frederick, and she wants to help James find his.  She takes him to Frederick's statue, and begins to tell their story.  They were to be married.  They were travelling with King Midas when they were ambushed.  Frederick heard the ambush and flew in front of King Midas to save his life.  Unfortunately, because of Midas' curse, Frederick was turned into gold.  Prince James asks her if she has tried true loves kiss, and she replies that she had, until her lips bled.  The gold was getting in the way of the kiss.  Abigail tells James about a legend surrounding Lake Nostos.  It's waters are suppose to have magical powers.  Unfortunately, it is guarded by a beast that drowns all of its victims.  No one comes back alive.  Prince James tells her he will go get the water as no one has fearless bravery like he has.

We are then returned to Storybrook, to August Booth's room.  He has Henry's book, and he has taken it apart.  We see a picture of the statue of Frederick, and then he starts to sew the book back together.  

At the mayor's office Regina gives Henry a game.  She apologizes for tearing down the castle and for  losing his book in the process.  Henry tells her he has also been upset because he misses Emma.  Kathryn enters the office in tears.  She tells Regina that David is leaving her.  Regina then tells Kathryn that David and Mary Margaret are having an affair, and shows her some pictures that Sidney had taken of the two of them together.  Kathryn gets even more upset because Regina had lied to her and leaves.  

At the lake, James and Abigail come to a shrine.  Abigail tells James they should leave a gift. James remarks that it never did any of the other men who passed through any good and throws his belongings at the shrine.

Mary Margaret is at the school.  Kathryn comes by.  She slaps Mary, refusing to go and talk privately.  She tells Mary that David lied to her.  He didn't tell her about the affair when he left her.  She tells Mary good luck since he lied to you too, and then turns around to leave. 

James is at the lake.  He hears movement in the water and tells the beast to show himself.  Out from the water slowly comes a beautiful woman.

August shows up at the diner after work to get Emma.  He tells her he knows a good watering hole.  She gets on his motorcycle.  They go out into the woods and come to a well.  August explains to Emma that the well is fed from an underground lake.  He goes on to explain that the water is said to be magical, and if you drink the water something you lost will be returned to you.  He also tells her if anything had magical powers it would be water, and they both have a drink. 

The woman asks James his name.  He tells her he knows she is a Siren and he will not fall prey to her deceit.  She changes into Snow White, and tells him she can give him everything he wants.  He kisses her, but refuses to accept the illusion.  He tells her it wasn't true love, that he has felt it before and he knows the difference.  The siren gets angry and pushes him into the lake.  He notices all the skeletons on the bottom of the lake and tries to get away, but the siren catches his leg with plants from the lake.  He pretends to drown and she comes to kiss him.  At that moment he stabs her with a dagger and she dies.  He cuts himself lose and escapes.  

Mary gets to her car and David is there cleaning it.  Someone has painted tramp on the side of it.  She gets upset with David because he didn't tell Kathryn about the affair.  She then tells him that they can't be together because he lied to Kathryn and to her.  He wants to pick up the pieces and move on, but she refuses.  

Emma is at her car.  She notices something under her car and bends down to look.  There in the water is Henry's book.  

 Kathryn goes to visit Regina.  She apologizes to her for snapping at her before.  She tells Regina that her marriage to David has been an illusion.  She shows Regina the pictures and tells her that David has never looked at her the way he looks at Mary Margaret.  She then goes on to say that she is  still going to go to Boston like she planned.  Regina asks Kathryn what she is going to do about David.  Kathryn explains that she wrote him and Mary both letters telling them they should be together.  She hugs Regina, tells her she is going to miss her, and leaves.  

James brings Abigail back the water.  She pours it on top of the statue.  The gold starts to melt and Frederick is freed.  He thanks James for freeing him.  They give him a horse and supplies and he goes after Snow.

Regina has the huge set of keys Emma had found in her office.  She unlocks Kathryn's house, finds the letter, and takes it. 

Emma goes to see Henry at school.  She gives him back the book, explaining she had found it in a gutter.  He tells her it is a sign that things are going to get better.  He opens up the book to a picture of James on a horse.  

James is at Snow's house.  He is calling for her when Red shows up.  Red tells him that Snow never came back after going to find him at the castle. Red tells James that Snow wanted to be with him, and was going to tell him so. James tells her someone must have changed her mind as King George's guards appear.  James helps Red onto his horse and they go together to look for Snow.

Mary Margaret is laying on the bed bed.  Emma comes home and asks her if she wants to talk about it.  Mary says no, but she doesn't want to be alone either.  Emma gets in the bed beside her.  Regina is in her office burning the letter while Kathryn is seen driving out of town.  Fredrick is driving down the road and notices a car on the side of the road.  He gets out to help.  The car door is open, the airbags have gone off, but there is no sign of anyone.
