The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has a great behind the scenes special on the show. In the article, series creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis talk about their long term game plan for the show and reveal that fairy tale characters are just the beginning of the wild ride that they have planned for us.
“It’s like when you were young and had Star Wars figures and you mixed them with G.I. Joe,” Kitsis says. “Cobra and Darth Vader might not have known each other, but they do in my backyard. We’ve taken the principle of being 12-year-old boys and we’ve brought it to primetime.”
In the new interview, the creators also reveal that episode 5 will take the audience to a new world unlike any we have seen before. Visits to Oz are also promised in future, as is the introduction of Ariel and genre-bursting characters such as Moby Dick, Tom Sawyer and even Tron!
