TV Guide Lightning Round with Eddy & Adam

Posted by Once Upon A Fan on October 19, 2012 at 3:35 AM

Once Upon A Time creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis recently took part in another lightening round of questions for TV Guide. The answers revealed some pretty big spoilers for season two and the show overall.

Firstly, we finally got confirmation that Aurora's mother was in fact the Sleeping Beauty who Regina referred to in her conversation with Maleficent way back in the shows 2nd episode, "The Thing You Love Most". The duo also hinted that we may indeed see that story with Maleficent play out at some point in the series.

The creators also confirmed it would be less severe for Regina to cross the Storybrooke line since she has no real alter ego and always had her memories of FT intact. In other news, King George is still hell bent on enacting revenge against Charming and Snow and we will eventually see how Henry was brought to Storybrooke as a baby. A confrontation between Belle and Regina over her time locked away in the asylum may also take place at some point this season.

When asked whether romance was possible between Emma and August, the producers were less forthcoming and the answers given make it seem doubtful. Kitsis explained, "I would say that Emma is definitely going to have some interesting suitors this year, but August has, so far, been such a big brother to her that I'm not sure that those two are meant to be. But it's a TV show; you never know". However the creators did promise that Emma and August would be reunited at some point this season.

The issue of Cora and Lancelot's death also elicited quite a response. Kitsis asked, "Why does everyone just believe what Cora says? Not one person on the blogs have doubted Cora, as if she's the most trustworthy character that we have! She's not Snow White, for God's sake". Adam Horowitz also hinted that Cora may have started out with good intentions though and became corrupted along the way. The creators also hinted that we may see Guinevere and Arthur, though it may not be this season.

That WAS juicy! But gah.... come on August wasn't the 'bro' really? come on... :P pout* sry I love Em n August ~ but fine.... i hope the rumors of her and her are just rumors.. isn't he still evil? And I love how they say everyone assumes Cora is telling the truth. I still think he could be alive. Rule of OUAT/ and soaps ~ they're not really dead until u see the cold dead corpse. If not Em n August.. can I talk to August?..... kidding. Runner up has to be Jefferson then. They're kinda steamy together.. that's only if they're really ruling out Em n August... I can't wait for Eion's return. This show is beyond addicting. I want to live it ~

I NEVER believed Cora about Lancelot! She could have him hidden away somewhere, just like Regina did with Belle. I thought Aurora WAS Sleeping Beauty. I think that was her name in the Disney version. Regina being able to go out of Storybrooke, yeah, that makes sense. I like Emma and August together, but, I like her with Jefferson too, or, maybe they can find somebody new for her. King George, I wish he would just go away. I could see revenge in his eyes in the last episode. I think he will try to do something to Henry, and, hopefully will get killed off. Very intriguing. I just hope it doesn't get too convoluted.

I get why they are saying that August is a big brother to Emma. He's been the person she goes to for another perspective, and the one that she knows she can depend on. (August allowed her to see that MM was being framed, and tried to help her find evidence.)

However, August's body language while around Emma tells the tale. At the very least, he has a crush on her. Emma has a lot of internal struggle this season reguarding her family, and last season was mostly external. However, she will eventually have to come to terms with how she feels about him.

I think maybe they are reading the wrong blogs... Most people I've seen on message boards think Cora is full of crap. :P

I also think it's weird that Aurora's mom was the original sleeping beauty. I would think if Regina knew that all that needed to happen to wake up Snow was a kiss from Charming she wouldn't have taken the sleeping curse.

Emma and August... I really wish they'd quit teasing a romance with Emma. Either do it or don't. First they kill Graham and now they say August is a big brother. I'm sorry but they were a little too flirty for a bro/sis type relationship.

Original. I like that. And of course Cora is lying.
About Emma and August: I am really disappointed. I mean, they would have developed a brother/sister relationship as kids but now, I really could see them ending up together. No matter what everyone says, there was sexual tension between them. The way their story was told shows that is could be that they are meant to be: he had to follow her in our world because the curse would have separated them otherwise. AND he happened to show up in the middle of the conversation about Henry's dad. Just a thought.
